Project Manager
Location: Salisbury MD - Field Operations
Type: Full Time Min. Experience: Management/Supervisor

UNICOM delivers full-service engineering & construction facilities and infrastructure solutions providing complete end-to-end life-cycle services including architecture, design engineering, construction, and operations and maintenance. The company is headquartered in Salisbury, MD.
The Project Manager will support the office effort to guarantee the owner quality of work and on time delivery.

UNICOM is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall field work on a project. This position is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and supervision of the subcontractors, Superintendent, and construction crew(s). The Project Manager ensures safe working conditions and compliance with all safe operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises subcontractors and is ultimately responsible for the crew of employees and subcontractors and monitors the prioritization of work.
  • Overseeing multiple job sites
  • Scheduling and planning all specifications of the projects with the assigned supervisor and Program manager
  • Coordinating employees, equipment, and materials required for the work assigned
  • Overseeing field operations and productivity for assigned projects
  • Evaluating and signing off on all daily and weekly reports provided by the subcontractors
  • Maintaining site, project, and employee safety
  • Ensure that goals and timelines are set and met throughout the project’s time frame and within the project budget
  • At times perform as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)
  • At times perform the role of the on-site Quality Control Officer
  • Produce superintendent production, Quality Assurance, and Safety daily reports and submit in accordance with contract documents and company policy
  • Assist Program Manager with, but not limited to, submittals, close out documentation, invoicing, etc.
  • Maintain and update accurate red-line drawings on site.
  • Provide Safety Training and Toolbox talks

Requirements:

  • Five (8) years’ experience in construction
  • Completed OSHA-30
  • PMP, CCM, CQM Prefer
  • Proficiency in reading/interpreting plans and construction specifications
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Excel, Word and Internet Explorer
  • Capacity to foresee and coordinate the work of multiple crews and projects
  • Ability to lead and establish positive employee/customer relations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Inspectors and Project Manager
  • Must have an understanding of OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass Federal background check for access to government and Department of Defense bases and facilities

Physical Job Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position seated one third of the time.
  • The person in this position may need to move about the office and worksites. Will need to walk and stand outside at project locations.
  • The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) up to and greater than 50 lbs.
  • This position requires the ability to spend some time viewing computer monitors and typing on computers.
  • Must be able to move around indoor and outdoor construction sites that may include stairs
  • Must be able to work in underground facilities, basements, roofs, and close-in spaces.

Salary: $32.00 - $40.00

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
