Summary

As a Guest Experience Agent, you play a critical role in creating an irresistible commitment for our potential and returning guests.

Your ability to accurately and passionately represent our brand, our accommodations, our amenities, and our overall experience will ensure success in this position.

In this role, the majority of time is spent receiving inbound calls, with a focus on sales and customer experience.

This position is remote, seasonal, and part time - 20-30 / Potential for 40 hour work week, May to September.

Key Responsibilities

• As the first point of contact at Under Canvas for most guests, it will be your responsibility to create a lasting, meaningful connection with guests over the phone
• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone or email
• Identify guest reservation needs and provide recommendations related to room type, dates, location, and rates
• Verify availability of room type and rates, and provide clear, accurate policy explanations
• Identify opportunities to up-sell or upgrade accommodations, packages, and activities
• Respond to inquiries related to details of properties, facilities, service, and amenities
• Provide consistent messaging to guests by following standard verbiage and techniques
• Be the expert at all things Under Canvas
• Share your passion, knowledge, and recommendations to ensure the best possible guest experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and in HMS systems
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of high-performance customer service, goal-oriented atmosphere
• Excellent communication skills via phone and email, with fanatical attention to detail
• Results-driven and goal oriented
• Must have flexible schedule including nights , weekends , and holidays
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and in HMS systems

Additional Information

• Travel as needed
• When on location ability to work in all outdoor working and weather conditions
• This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
