The Division of Genetics and Metabolism, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full time Clinical Research Study Coordinator to enhance our research team developing new treatment for rare genetic disorders, especially mucopolysaccharidoses. The Clinical Research Study Coordinator will support our research team with a wide variety of clinical research activities with the primary responsiblity for managing and maintaining regulatory compliance of multiple complex clinical research studies, including but not limited to preparation and submission of regulatory documents, facilitate study startup activities, interacting with UNC and central IRBs, study sponsors, study monitors (CRO) and Principal/Sub-Investigators. The study coordinator will participate in ongoing clinical trials including ensuring adherence to updated protocols, interacting with study subjects, study sponsor and study monitor to ensure completion and documentation of study-related procedures and events The candidate should be able to manage multiple competing priorities and to make important decisions while adhering to study protocols and data quality. The candidate should be willing to take initiative in new and current projects. The candidate should be able to work independently and to collaborate with other members of the research team.
