UNC Health Appalachian is Hiring a Practice Manager of Operations Near Boone, NC
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality of care, and patient satisfaction.
- Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Provider Practice Network, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of clinical and administrative staff, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and guidelines, including HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation requirements.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the Provider Practice Network, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across all practice locations.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor staff members to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Patient Experience: Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to enhance the patient experience, resolve patient concerns, and implement initiatives to improve patient satisfaction.
- Technology Integration: Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline operations, enhance communication, and improve workflow efficiency.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within UNC Health Appalachian to optimize coordination of care, share best practices, and achieve organizational goals.
- Community Engagement: Represent UNC Health Appalachian in the local community, participate in community outreach initiatives, and foster positive relationships with patients, families, and community stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare management, with a proven track record of success in operations management.
- Certification in healthcare management or related field preferred (e.g., CMPE).
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required at time of hire.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in healthcare IT systems and software applications.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- The position may require sitting for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of light objects may be required.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- The role primarily operates in an office environment but may require occasional travel between practice locations.
- Work hours may vary and could include evenings or weekends depending on operational needs.
- Exposure to standard office conditions, including noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and lighting.
