Job Description:
The Physical Therapist functions independently and consistently in the delivery of quality care to patients requiring physical therapy in accordance with individual patient needs, physician orders, department policies and procedures, and standards of practice. Evaluates patients, plans and implements treatment programs, and documents all treatment accurately. Works in conjunction with other members of the health care team to ensure patient needs are met. Educates patients and families. Provides care to patients of varying ages with age related needs.
Required Skills:
1. Knowledge of physical therapy principles and procedures.
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Good problem-solving ability in order to determine the best methods to address patient problems.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
One year of Physical Therapy experience preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
Current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Texas.
Current CPR required.
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, or equivalent education if trained outside U.S. required.
