Job Summary

The Cash Management Director is responsible for the oversight of the cash handling done by departments of the hospital. Responsible for managing, coordinating and administering incoming patient payments for the hospital, posting them electronically and interfacing these properly to general ledger and patient financial services. Responsible for managing, coordinating and administering incoming payment for government programs and partners such as nursing homes, LPPF.

Minimum Job Requirements:

 Work Experience:

Five years of related work experience required. Experience in financial operations, payment operations or treasury operations roles, which require a high attention to detail.

Five years supervisory/management experience required.

License/Registrations/Certificate:

Certified Public Accountant preferred.

Education and Training:

Master’s degree in related field required.

Skills:

  1. Knowledgeable of patient financial accounting processes and procedures.
  2. Effective oral and written communication skills required
  3. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  4. Ability to use calculator, standard keyboard required. Proficient in use of personal computer and Microsoft software; i.e., word processing, data analysis (e.g. Excel), Power Point and Access applications.
  5. Ability to develop and manage the performance of associates.
  6. Ability to foster a cooperative environment.
  7. Knowledge and consistent application of customer service standards and procedures.
  8. Ability to train associates in cash receipting principles and procedures, including cash reconciliation and balancing functions.
  9. Knowledge of third party reimbursement processes and current insurance terminology.
  10. Ability to manage high volume of transaction in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
