GENERAL DESCRIPTION:The per diem Registered Nurse-Oncology is responsible for providing patient care that is sensitive to the needs of diverse populations, including but not limited to culture, ethnicity, gender, and age. The Registered Nurse, Oncology evaluates educational, psychosocial, and physiological needs of the patient and family. Will administer medications, assist with procedures as needed, and provide referrals as appropriate. As part of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse, Oncology will work in collaboration with physicians and ancillary departments to ensure quality continuum of care.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:2 years ambulatory oncology nursing experience or equivalent preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: BSN preferred BLS and ACLS (AHA) required ONS Chemotherapy certificate requiredwithin 6 months of hire.
