General Description:

The cook position is responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of hot and cold food for the cafeteria, patient meal service, special functions and outside programs. Maintains high standards for sanitation in the production area. On a daily basis, prepares assigned recipes in proper quantities meeting established standards to ensure the highest in customer satisfaction.Follow CARE standards: C - Courteous A - Attentive R - Respectful E - Enthusiastic

Work Experience/Requirements:

• 2 years culinary food service training3 years institutional cooking experience, preferably in a health care facility, is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions

Education:

• High School degree or the equivalent.
