Summary:
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist is professionally trained in the preventive health and rehabilitation field. Duties will include exercise test clearance, performance and preliminary interpretation.
Qualifications:
American College of Sports Medicine Certification as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist is required. BLS and ACLS certification is required. Master's Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology or health related field required. Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, risk factor modification strategies, counseling techniques, and use of educational programs and technologies as applied to cardiovascular/pulmonary rehabilitation services and exercise tolerance testing is required. At least 3-5 years of experience performing exercise tolerance testing required. Expertise with a personal computer, Microsoft word, excel, access, PowerPoint or other related software is required.
