Minimum of 2 years of experience as an analytical chemist
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesComplex Chemical Analysis: Conduct intricate chemical analysis on environmental, food, or clinical matrices using state-of-the-art instrumentation to identify contaminants and toxic substances. Quality Assurance: Adhere to strict Quality Assurance guidelines to ensure accuracy and reliability of results. Instrument Maintenance: Keep instrumentation in optimal condition by performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed. Documentation: Maintain detailed records including instrument logs, technical reports, and SOP updates. Safety: Ensure a safe and organized work area to prevent accidents or contamination. Training: Cross-train on various analytical procedures to broaden skillset. Supervisor Support: Assist the supervisor with assigned tasks as needed. Job Requirements
Operate advanced laboratory equipment such as LC/MS/MS, LC/QTOF, and GC/MS/MS.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Knowledge of laboratory practices and principles of analytical chemistry.
Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards (EPA, FDA, CLIA, etc.).
Design analytical techniques and develop new methods as required.
Responsibility And Supervision
Work independently as a subject matter expert, with minimal supervision.
Task performance may impact public health surveillance efforts.
Collaborate with team members and external agencies to address analytical challenges and regulatory requirements.
