SUMMARYUltra-Tech, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Non-Destructive Technician (Level II). Hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime is worked on Friday as needed. The Non-Destructive Technician (Level II) will independently perform inspections utilizing fluorescent magnetic particle and penetrant testing techniques seeking corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions in accordance with technical data. They will perform inspections, interpret indications, and report results per company requirements. They will be able to communicate processes, procedures, report results and should be familiar with shop equipment operations with the ability to evaluate and exercise appropriate judgment.DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIESEstablish and maintain NDT program, procedures and equipmentPerform non-destructive testing (fluorescent magnetic particle and penetrant)Conduct system performance checks in accordance with customer standardsPerform cleaning and inspection of aircraft and ground support componentsIdentify structural and material defectsVisual weld inspectionDiscuss inspection results with those responsible for productsAssist in controlling documentationInterpret test resultsMaintain proper segregation and identification of components in progressComplete all required documentation in accordance with established proceduresEngage and support the organization’s Continuous Improvement activitiesPerform good housekeeping and safety practicesWork under minimal amount of direction from the area supervisor/team coordinatorEffectively communication with co-workers and personnel in other departmentsInterpret part drawings and illustrated planningFollow work instructions to ensure the proper processing of partsAdhere to PPE requirementsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSCurrent MT/PT NDT Level II certification5 Years of experience in Aerospace Industry a plus (AS9100)General understanding of GD&TVisual weld inspection experienceCustomer focused mindsetGeneral working knowledge of MS OfficeProven organizational skills Excellent communication and writing skillsVersatile team player with a positive, “can do” attitude and embraces multi-taskingMotivated, self-starter able and willing to take on new roles and responsibilities as neededPOSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURSThis is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6:00a.m. to 4:30p.m., with overtime being worked on Fridays as needed. There may be times where there is an expectation to work extended hours as dictated by business needs.
