Ultium Cells is a joint venture Lithium-Ion Automotive Battery Cell Manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest Battery Cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest Battery Cell Manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.

Position Description:
The Equipment/ Reliability Engineer is responsible for maintaining/creating/improving the Computerized Maintenance Management System, CMMS, system for the facility. This site uses Maximo as the CMMS system. The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for PM content and timing, developing plans for completion on a month to month basis and coordinating resources to ensuring PM activities are completed per the schedule. Management of the content of the spare parts system is also required. Communicate effectively within all levels and across functions of organization. Support and drive effective problem solving to improve manufacturing yield performance.
Job Responsibilities:
•Train team in the use and application of Maximo.
•Analysis of PM effectiveness and coordinate continuous improvement opportunities.
•Close communication with multi-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Maintenance
•Continuous monitoring the effectiveness of corrective actions
•Measure and provide feedback on KPIs that rely on the EMS system.
•Co-creation of documentation for all machines - creating and updating trouble shooting, work instructions, identifying problems, and implementing new PM opportunities
•Support for production and maintenance in solving technical problems
•Ensure compliance to safety and environmental regulations
•Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules to determine production requirements so that maintenance activities can be performed.
•Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics/Industrial/Mechanical/Electric/etc.), preferred.
•Minimum of 3 year’s experience in Engineering or Maintenance roles in an industrial environment, preferred.
•Must be able to speak and read English
•Effective communication and presentation skills
•MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills
•Ability to work well with individuals and teams across the company to achieve team goals and targets
•Good computer, Troubleshooting, Problem-solving, Critical thinking skills
•Ability to work well in a team environment a requirement
•Positive, dedicated attitude and demonstrated effectiveness to achieve given goals within due dates
•The willingness and ability to work flexible hours occasionally to support team
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Preparation of meaningful reports on work performed and conclusions
•Ability to obtain, understand and apply relevant information
•Ability to use technology for furthering functional competencies
