Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for delivering exceptional results.
Previous experience in a wine shop is preferred but will train the right candidate.
Duties:
- New staff on-boarding and training and develop existing staff
-Staff scheduling
-Open and closing the store
-Inventory management and inventory locations
-Work with vendors to purchase/ restock items
-Enter invoices into line-of-business software
-Run overflow register during busy periods
-Continually train cashiers to provide an outstanding customer experience at
checkout
-Help customers on the sales floor
-Ensure the store stays clean and neat
Qualifications:
-1-5 years of retail management experience in a multi-million-dollar location
is required
-Customer service focus of both internal and external customers and basic
operations
-Proven track record of driving sales and building winning teams
-A interest or passion for wine, and the willingness to learn more
-Strong recruiting, interviewing, and staffing skills
-Outstanding communication skills with customers and staff
-The ability to quickly resolve problems
-Strong email communication and office skills
