Job Description

Responsibilities :

• Draft real estate agreements using templates.
• Review incoming land control agreement requests for completeness.
• Coordinate property searches with third-party professionals.
• Examine vesting instruments and recorded documents to ensure complete interest.
• Prepare and proof leases, easements, and purchase options for the development team.
• Collaborate with the Real Estate Origination Manager, project managers, land agents, and external parties.
• Maintain landowner files, tracking spreadsheets, LPM data, and Basecamp.
• Manage document requests and maintain project status reports.
• Perform additional duties, including project closings, contract management, mailings, and training.

Requirements :

• 2 years of experience in the title industry or real estate abstracting - required.
• Knowledge of land deeds, title abstracting, and real estate agreements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Microsoft Teams. Experience with Landworks is a plus.
• Experience with renewable energy projects is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Info :

• Pay range : $62k-$72k DOE
• Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch - some flexibility available
• Location : In office for training for 1-3 weeks in Bloomington (hybrid option based on performance)
• Type : 6 months contract position with potential to go longer
