Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our healthcare team. As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services to women across the lifespan, with a focus on reproductive health, gynecological care, and preventive medicine. You will play a vital role in promoting women's wellness, conducting screenings, diagnosing and treating conditions, and educating patients on maintaining optimal health.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
*Provide patient-centered care that enhances patient satisfaction and ensures continuity of care
*Conduct physical exams and provide education and counseling on preventative care and family planning
*Provide OB/GYN-specific care such as evaluating and managing common gynecological conditions and prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care
*Diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, and write prescriptions
*Provide help and support to other clinical staff and/or physicians, as necessary
*Required knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations to evaluate patients reproductive heath and overall well-being
*Perform routing gynecological exams including pelvic exams, breast exams and pap smears and provide appropriate follow-up care base on findings
*Diagnose and treat common women’s health conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, urinary tract infections and sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
*Prescribe medications, contraceptives and hormone therapies as needed and provide counseling on their proper use and potential side effects
*Provide prenatal care and support to pregnant women, including prenatal screenings, monitoring fetal development and managing pregnancy-related complications
*Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex medical needs or high-risk pregnancies
*Offer counseling and support to patients on family planning options, contraception methods, fertility issues and preconception health
*Educate patients on preventive health measures, including regular screenings, vaccinations, healthy lifestyle choices and self-care practices
*Provide counseling and support to patients experiencing menopausal symptoms, including
hormone replacement therapy and lifestyle modifications
*Document patient care accurately and maintain electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
Education and Experience:
*MSN or higher education required
*Unrestricted NP license in the state of Georgia required
*Minimum 2 years Women's Health Nurse Practitioner experience, required
*Willingness to participate in on call 5-6 times per month
*Ability to navigate and effectively use EMR. Knowledge and experience with eClinical Works preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
*Salary range $110k-$130k
