We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Specialist for our client located in Clearwater, FL. The Technical Support Specialist role is a fields inbound telephone calls and e-mail for installation or product related technical assistance from retail dealers, end-users, or consumers. This role maintains positive relationship with its retailers and end-users. The role helps continuously improve the products through critical product performance feedback. It can also have a direct impact on the brands' reputation.
Pay rate - $21-$23/hr - M-F, 8 am - 5 pm - Pay will increase to $25/hr once you have gone perm - Temp to hire
Key Responsibilities:
* Field inbound telephone calls for installation and product related assistance from retail dealers or end-users.
* Answer incoming e-mail requests for installation and product related assistance.
* Assist with proper product fitment and applications questions.
* Troubleshoot problematic installations as needed by retail dealers and end-users.
* Meet specific inbound call volume and e-mail metrics outlined by the Global Technical Support Manager.
Requirements:
* Excellent verbal and communication skills.
* Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
* Ability to navigate the internet to conduct necessary research.
* Must strive to resolve escalated problems quickly and cost effectively to the satisfaction of the customer.
* Gain and maintain a complete understanding of the company's technical products.
Require Education and Experience:
* Prior experience with installation of 12-volt audio, video and security products.
* 2 years of technical help desk team experience
* MECP Certification required within 90 days.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Environmental/Physical Requirements:
* Indoor offices with controlled temperature
* May sit for long periods of time
* Crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, and lifting occasionally
* Operating computer, telephone, voicemail and other office equipment regularly
