Business Analyst - Sales and Use Tax Analyst
Location: Austin, TX 78703 - hybrid schedule
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Pay: $40 - $50/hr
Duration: Through end of July 2024 with the possibility of being extended
An industry leading grocer is seeking a Business Analyst - Sales and Use Tax Contractor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and verifying Sales Tax from in-store transactions, as well as Use Tax from Vendors.
Job Duties:
· Research credits confirm accuracy and usability· Sales and Use Tax Reporting and Compliance· Sales Tax Research· Taxability Analysis· Assist with internal audit ensuring sales taxes are collected appropriately· Conduct Taxability Research meeting internal and external requests· Perform special projects, as necessaryQualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field· 2 years of Sales and Use Tax experience within a retail environment· Experience with Workday Financial and Coupa a plus· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables / V lookups)· Ability to effectively communicate with other accounting and tax personnelAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
