Job Description

Seeking experienced Account Managers with Employee Benefits experience to join a thriving team in New Braunfels, TX! This is a Direct Hire opportunity with strong training to ensure you're set up for success. In this role, the Account Manager is will deliver high-quality and efficient service to clients through the day-to-day account management of an assigned book of business.

  • Must have Active Life, Accident, Health Licenses or able to reactive them
  • Bilingual in Spanish, a plus!
  • A good sense of humor and positive attitude.

Salary: $50,000-$60,000/Annually Depending on Experience

Onsite in New Braunfels, TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality service through day-to-day management of assigned client accounts.
  • Resolve client service issues directly and escalate when needed.
  • Project manage cross-functional initiatives and joint engagements with Benefits Partner Firms.
  • Collect benefit plan pricing information, collaborating with third-party service providers.
  • Educate clients on legislation, market trends, and ensure employee benefits compliance.
  • Review and summarize benchmarking content, creating materials based on industry trends.
  • Coordinate and manage client compliance activities, including Form 5500 filings and health care reform reporting.
  • Work directly with clients and carriers on initiatives such as renewal reviews, Requests for Proposal, and claims handling.
  • Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings.
  • Examine potential plan design and benefit cost changes.
  • Support the creation of client communication materials and play a key role in annual enrollment.
  • Conduct technical and consultative reviews of client materials.
  • Manage and process enrollments at the carrier level, delegating as appropriate.
  • Monitor COBRA offerings, delegating tasks to junior team members.
  • Coordinate with Ben Admin Center of Excellence for Benefits Administration processes.
  • Manage Dynamics 365 activities, new client setups, policy loads, changes, and renewals.
  • Contribute to the development of junior staff and key business outcomes such as client retention and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of client service experience in employee benefits including major medical and voluntary and/or worksite benefits.
  • Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License required.
  • Insurance experience in managing client and carrier relationships.
  • Proficient in Excel and Office 365.
  • In-depth understanding of major medical, voluntary plans, and benefit industry trends.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
