The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking talented and motivated candidates for our open Survey Technician opportunity. The Survey Technician is responsible for field survey data gathering and layouts of the assigned projects. The position has the opportunity for advancement for the motivated individual willing to learn the skills and technology required of a Professional Land Surveyor.

What You Will Do

The Survey Technician will assist the Survey Crew Chief in the daily routine of surveying to ensure field surveys are complete to the standards of practice for land surveying and any project specific requirements. The role participates in the execution of numerous survey projects and interacts with their respective team leader, prepares project equipment, and supplies and works with all members of the survey team to accomplish the daily tasks.

What We Expect from You

• Associates of Science degree in Surveying or equivalent preferred but not required.
• LSIT or Certified Survey Technician (CST) preferred but not required.
• May fill as entry level position or up to 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Will participate in control, construction, boundary, topographic, route, retracement, and ALTA type surveys as they relate to; municipal, DOT, energy, renewable wind, and solar projects.
• Demonstrated ability to operate all survey field equipment (Trimble GPS, Robotic Total Station, Laser Scanner, data controllers, etc.) preferred but not required.
• AutoCAD experience, survey data processing software knowledge and experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Requires prolonged walking, standing, bending, and stretching.
• Maintains tools, equipment, and vehicles on a constant basis.
• Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
• A valid driver license is required

Compensation Range is Generally /- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $63,500*
