THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Sr. Manager Supply Chain will drive thought leadership and help lead the implementation of the long-term and medium-term Supply Chain strategic initiatives. This role will serve as critical tie-in across multiple stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and end-to-end efficiency. They will serve as a key influencer of the team’s go forward strategy, while also helping the Supply Chain business leaders develop near-term project plans to implement their business strategies. Additionally, the Senior Manager Supply Chain will lead development and manage execution of the Supply Chain sustainability strategy and act as a liaison to the Enterprise ESG team.

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for leading the Supply Chain team through strategy development and execution as well as leading and motivating internal teams and helping to prioritize day-to-day projects and internal client needs.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Identifying, building, and evolving the Supply Chain capabilities needed to enable Ulta Beauty’s enterprise strategy
  • Leading the Supply Chain team through definition and execution of strategic initiatives focused on efficiency, innovation, and guest experience
  • Leading the strategic development and ongoing management of annual planning activities for the Supply Chain team (i.e., enterprise planning, goals & objectives, etc.)
  • Collaborating with internal business partners, including senior leaders, on creation and management of long-term strategic roadmap that defines capabilities required to support future business growth and superior guest experience
  • Managing the overall Supply Chain portfolio capturing initiative status, facilitate prioritization efforts and manage initiative intake
  • Leading Supply Chain project scoping and prioritization to ensure alignment to enterprise goals and objectives and adherence to enterprise constraints and guardrails
  • Developing scorecards and roadmaps for strategic initiatives, including key achievements, timelines, KPIs, sequencing, resource allocation, leadership touchpoints/approvals, risk mitigation and reporting
  • Creating strategic presentations and communications (e.g., Board of Directors Presentations)
  • Developing hypotheses that could support future projects that drive efficiency
  • Leading external market and competitive landscape assessments
  • Leading Supply Chain sustainability efforts to drive sustainability improvements and continue and accelerate our environmental leadership across Supply Chain
  • Identifing business challenges and develop strategic, analytical, financial frameworks to analyze
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders including Distribution, Transportation, Merchandise Planning & Operations, Marketing, Digital, Stores, Finance, and Information Technology to gain alignment on the Supply Chain strategy
  • Supporting the effort to tell the Supply Chain story through crafting PowerPoint presentations and working with key stakeholders across the company to understand the best way to influence others
  • Partnering with Supply Chain teams to translate long-term strategic plan into actionable project charters that define project scope, timing, resource requirements, budget, etc.
  • Providing ongoing oversight and reporting against overall supply chain project and capability portfolio to leadership
  • Developing, managing, and leading Supply Chain environmental sustainability strategies and roadmap ensuring alignment with enterprise environment and sustainability goals
  • Developing and implementing a value realization capability to define, capture and manage value for key Supply Chain initiatives to deliver on our Supply Chain strategic and financial objectives 

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree from an accredited college with a focus on Strategy, Finance, or Supply Chain Management. (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years consulting or strategy experience
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in retail supply chain, operations management, or strategy consulting (4 years’ experience at a top-tier consulting firm preferred)
  • Self-starter able to successfully execute against departmental goals with minimal guidance
  • Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional manner
  • Able to influence and drive accountability among associates across multiple departments
  • Able to manage multiple projects/multiple presentation deadlines at one time
  • Able to develop presentation materials for communicating strategies to key stakeholders
  • Able to work additional hours and weekends during critical project times
  • Strong strategic mindset, with critical reasoning and qualitative analysis experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills with an understanding of financials of each segment of the supply chain.
  • Enthusiastic, persistent, action-oriented, and a strong sense of accountability
  • Strong working knowledge in Word, Excel, Access, MS Project and Power-Point]
