Use your skills, experience & talents to be part of something BEAUTIFUL! In this role, you will be a key marketing leader – conceptualizing, developing, & implementing strategies in support of some of our largest enterprise-wide strategic platforms.

The Manager, Strategic Initiatives Marketing, reports to the Director, Strategic initiatives Marketing and is responsible for leading our most important strategic platforms including Ulta Beauty expansion to Mexico, Conscious Beauty at Ulta Beauty and Wellness. This individual must be a strong brand marketer and storyteller with experience leading digital first, consumer centric campaigns that drive measurable results. This leader is a marketer who loves both the art and science and understands how to inspire and develop impactful work.

This individual has an inclusive and collaborative leadership style with an entrepreneurial mindset and is excited to discover new ways to inspire beauty enthusiasts.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Be the marketing lead in support of Ulta Beauty’s international expansion to Mexico. Partner with a cross-functional, enterprise-wide team. Work includes daily interaction with a team based in Mexico City as well as thought leadership to inform a long-term annual business plan.
  • Lead the development and execution of day-to-day marketing plans as well as provide thought leadership during annual business planning for Conscious Beauty at Ulta Beauty and Wellness.
  • Collaborate closely with customer growth marketing, consumer insights, media, creative, merchandising, and other key stakeholder groups to ensure execution of marketing plans/strategies is data driven, clear and cohesive.
  • Analyze performance and learnings from previous campaigns and initiatives to inform future strategies and execution.
  • Maintain knowledge of retail and industry happenings, consumer and cultural insights, internal operation processes and competitive landscape
  • Cultivate a collaborative work environment. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated and cohesive strategies, while still empowering individual teams to own their work.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS

  • 8 years brand marketing experience; consumer facing marketing experience preferred.
  • Spanish fluency required.
  • Demonstrated success leading 360 integrated campaigns across the consumer marketing funnel that delivered measurable business results. Bilingual activation experience required.
  • A big picture strategic thinker with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into marketing strategies, as well as a highly organized "doer," with a data-driven mentality and a bias towards action.
  • Demonstrated creativity and creative management, including collaborating with a creative team and/or agency partners.
  • Successful track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategy development and execution with ability to lead through influence to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment and highly skilled in prioritization with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong experience managing through ambiguity to shape, elevate and move planning forward.
  • Passion for business/the work and a lifelong learner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related fields; MBA or MA preferred.
  • Travel may be required
