UL Solutions External Career Site is Hiring a Remote Associate Sustainability Consultant

An Associate Sustainability Consultant will be responsible for consulting with clients on their environmental and sustainability needs using UL’s existing Environment programs and assisting in the development of new programs. The Consultant will help to manage and deliver on projects and assist the organization in achieving its strategic and revenue goals. Under minimal supervision, this individual independently plans and carries out projects to achieve stated objectives, supports the planning and direction of project schedules and budgets, supports the management of project activities generally within a department or functional area. Projects may
include assessments of operations, methods, and procedures, and reviews of organization structures. Additional topics include helping customers understand how to identify, prioritize, and manage environmental and social issues, conducting benchmarking assessments, and providing research support for supply chain risk assessments. The Sustainability Consultant will work with remote teams, and will be required to travel

  • Consults with clients on environmental and sustainability topics in current areas of expertise.
  • Manages multiple customer projects from definition to execution to meet customer needs.
  • Delivers on revenue goals and practice growth goals.
  • Supports business development activities by performing needs analyses to identify areas for
    study and/or opportunities for new programs, determining methodology and development
    plans, estimating resource needs, and conducting cost/benefit analyses.
  • Prepares and presents reports or program proposals which include recommendations and
    supporting arguments.
  • Manages program performance by evaluating performance to standards and implementing
    corrective actions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • University degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field plus generally 2 years of directly related experience.
  • 1 years of client consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify needs for projects or programs, formulate
    objectives, plan and execute projects and/or programs, and manage programs.
  • Outstanding writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior skills with common Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel).

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position. All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 5% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
