Ukrainian Federal Credit Union is Hiring a Collections and Loan Control Specialist Near Charlotte, NC

POSITION: Collections and Loan Control Specialist
LOCATION: Main Office in Rochester, NY or Charlotte, NC
SCHEDULE: Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding service to internal and external members in line with the credit union’s Service Promises.
  • Meet or exceed service and sales expectations.
  • Possess adequate product knowledge as per the annual product knowledge certification assessment.
  • Manage credit dispute processes, utilizing systems such as Insight, e-Oscar, and Pacer.
  • Assist Branch Managers in monitoring delinquent loans and follow up with members.
  • Create recommendations for payment plans, workout loans, and modifications.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies for collections on secured and unsecured loans.
  • Contact members on asset recovery accounts for payments or collection actions.
  • Complete right of offset, removal of account privileges, and credit line reductions.
  • Process garnishments, levies, bankruptcy cases, repossessions, charge-offs, and work on recoveries.
  • Manage deceased member’s accounts with empathy.
  • Monitor and process force-place insurance, including reporting to branches.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in collections work.
  • Track and update liens and titles on commercial and consumer vehicle loans.
  • Manage the discharge process for Residential and Commercial mortgages.
  • Monitor and file UCC liens.
  • Reconcile and report to FHLB monthly.
  • Report and pay participation loans monthly.
  • Monitor for PMI removal and provide refunds when necessary.
  • Oversee all phases of the escrow process.
  • Ensure loans are set up correctly and billing is accurate.
  • Collaborate with compliance auditors, FHLB, and regulatory examiners.

Requirements:

Education/Experience: A.A. Degree and two to four years of related experience or equivalent combination.

Special Skills:

  • Proficiency in English and Ukrainian preferred.
