Overview ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (DETO-22-0442-W) Bowhead is seeking an Electronics Technician who lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies electronic developmental and production equipment, parts, components, and systems according to engineering instructions. ***This position will require full onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. No remote opportunity for this contract*** Responsibilities * Experience with pulse power systems, solid-state switches, ferromagnetic switches, and/or COMSOL or LTspice modeling and simulation tools.
* Sets up and conducts laboratory and field tests; in the fabrication of Laser, RF, and pulsed power components and subsystems; and in the integration of referenced systems.
* Analyzes and interprets test data.
* Evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production model. Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
* May provide work leadership for lower level employees. Qualifications ***This position will require full onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. No remote opportunity for this contract*** * Five (5) years of experience in the operation, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic, optical, electromagnetic sensors and supporting instrumentation and electrical and electronic test equipment.
* Experience in setting up and conducting laboratory and field tests.
* Experience with pulse power systems, solid-state switches, ferromagnetic switches, and/or COMSOL or LTspice modeling and simulation tools
* High Voltage and Fiber optic cabling certifications.
* Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
* Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. Physical Demands: * Must be able to lift and /or move up to 30 pounds
* Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
