Massage Therapist

Under the direct and limited supervision of the FitWell Coordinator/Group Fitness Coordinator, the Massage Therapist responsibilities include:

a. Complete a consultation to determine the needs of the massage client

b. Understand the goals and needs of the client and plan the massage accordingly

c. Communicate with clients during the massage regarding the pressure of the massage and adjust technique as they desire

d. Maintain proper draping of the client

e. Knowledge of muscles and tissues in the human body. Familiarity of a variety of massage therapy techniques.

f. Manipulate muscles and other soft tissues of the body

g. Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening and overall relaxation

h. Document clients' conditions and progress through soap notes

i. Suggest future massage appointments

j. Deliver professional table and chair
