UMIAQ Environmental provides a comprehensive suite of environmental consulting services, which include documentation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, construction and access permitting, environmental site assessments, stakeholder engagement, sampling and remediation of contaminated sites, management of hazardous waste, wetlands monitoring, and more.

This is a full-time position located in Anchorage, Alaska. UMIAQ Environmental’s main office is in Anchorage, from which our talented professional, technical, and seasonal staff lead projects throughout the State.
The Environmental Specialist’s goal is to support development of NEPA documents including Environmental Assessments, assist in research, develop permit packages, and support projects within UMIAQ Environmental.
Essential to this role is a love of writing and strong communication skills.

Authorized Driver Requirement : Employee must have a valid driver’s license and three (3) year clean driving record. Employee must follow all Authorized Driver Policy and Procedures regarding approved vehicle usage.
All Employees are subject to a Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. Employees must pass a Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening, and must follow all Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program requirements.
