Position Summary
This position is responsible for technical basketball analysis, strategic research and development, detailed game planning, and related activities. May supervise assigned student staff. Assists with recruiting activities and other basketball program functions, as permitted by NCAA rules and policies governing non-coaching staff members.
Duties & Responsibilities

Create detailed scouting reports on opponents for each game for use by basketball coaching staff and student-athletes in weekly game preparation.

Create and analyze self-scouting reports on UIC basketball team following each game for use by basketball coaching staff and student-athletes in weekly game preparation.

Review and analyze opponents’ game personnel and create analytic reports for use by basketball coaching staff and student-athletes in game preparation.

Collect in-game statistical data, analyze in real-time, and share key metrics and trends with basketball coaching staff for in-game application.

Scheduling for the basketball coaching staff and basketball support staff with recruiting efforts, as permitted by NCAA rules and policies governing non-coaching staff members.

Coordinates and monitors daily schedules of basketball student-athletes, which includes classes and academic commitments, practice and conditioning, community service, etc.

Develop strategic multimedia presentations and graphic library for recruiting and other program efforts, in partnership with basketball assistant coaches, support staff and athletics external relations staff.

Attend all practices, team meetings, games, and other team functions, as requested and permitted by NCAA rules and policies.

Supervise assigned student staff.

Liaison to athletics support units, as assigned.

Coordinate responsibilities with graduate assistants, undergraduate students, and other basketball staff members, as requested and assigned.

Present/speak to large audiences at team meetings, recruiting functions, etc. as permitted by NCAA rules and policies governing non-coaching staff members.

Manage special projects as assigned by the basketball coaching staff
