PERSONNEL ASSISTANT II (2024-20822) :

Bowhead seeks a senior Personnel Assistant to join our team at Fort Jackson, SC. The Personel Assistant will perform a variety of tasks in assisting in the Central Issue Facility of the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC).

He will serve as a clerical expert in reviewing and processing personal property documentation for completion and accuracy according to JTR guidelines.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include :

• Processes and reviewes personal property documentation for completion, accuracy, and within their entitlements according to the JTR.
• Determines the most cost-effective ways to move personal property advising customers on which types of shipment they have based on PCS orders.
• Communicates with service members and dependents to facilitate their travel needs.
• Updates customer information for delivery and contact information.
• Provides guidance to lower-level Personnel Assistants.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required at a minimum
• At least 3 years of Personnel Assistant experience
• Knowledge of the DPS and ETOPS to input and submit customer shipment information.
• Requires extensive knowledge of various office software packages
• A normal work week is 40 hours (5 days per week) must be willing to work additional hours / overtime when mission requires.

Physical Demands :

• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for at least 1 hour
• Work is mostly sedentary but at times may involve continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
