We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The role is within the telecom provider industry and requires a high level of organization and detail-orientation. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including invoice management, financial reporting, vendor relationship management, and audit support.Responsibilities:• Handle daily invoice entries into Solomon / MS D-365, ensuring financial transactions are accurately and timely recorded.• Regularly update the county reimbursement report based on the check register to maintain accurate financial reporting.• Prepare checks daily for signature by the Director of Finance and Regional Manager.• Maintain a comprehensive and easily accessible financial record by scanning all checks/paid invoices and organizing them in the company accounting drive.• Promptly address discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records by reconciling vendor accounts as needed.• Foster positive vendor relationships by proactively requesting statements from vendors to keep accounts current and up-to-date.• Prepare and submit monthly invoices, along with the county reimbursement report, to the county.• Support the audit processes.• Use skills such as General Ledger, Trial Balance, Bank Reconciliations, Review Financial Statements, Variance Analysis, Variance Explanations, MS Great Plains Solomon, Microsoft Excel, and Audit Compliance to execute tasks efficiently.
