JOB TITLE: DISHWASHER

KEY PERFORMANCE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils. NWTHS may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ, depending on business necessities and client requirements. Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.

1. Washes dishes and pots by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine.
2. Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
3. Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
4. Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
5. Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage

and work areas such as pantry and dish
room.
6. Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
7. Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
8. Complies with all NWTHS policies and procedures.
9. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
10. Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
11. Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
12. Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
13. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

1. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. 

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

1. Ability to read and write English.
2. Ability to communicate with staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others.
3. Ability to remain calm under stress.
4. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without
corrective lenses.
5. Significant walking or other means of mobility.
6. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
7. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40
pounds.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND WORK AIDS USED:

1. Occasionally subjected to long and/or irregular hours
2. Frequent/strenuous physical effort (e.g. lifting, moving heavy objects, etc.)
3. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
