This full-time opportunity offers 40-hours per week, full benefits, and a day shift schedule. There is an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

Unit Secretary Job Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to cross train to other areas
• Sufficient command of the English language, to accept and transmit phone communications
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Must have basic computer knowledge, knowledge of Microsoft office preferred
• Good typing skills and the ability to perform clerical duties
• Knowledge of medical and surgical terminology
• Prior experience in the surgical setting preferred

Role and Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility and accountability for the booking, clerical and statistical functions within surgical services. The functions are primarily communicative, but include clerical duties and receptionist responsibilities. Must be willing to cross train and float, to meet the needs of the institution.
