POSITION SUMMARY:

The Program Specialist provides direct patient care under the Director of PHP/IOP Services. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, facilitation of group meetings, coordination of patient transportation, assistance with discharge planning, and department recruitment. The Program Specialist is additionally responsible for the implentation of programs, training and the schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Psychology or related field strongly preferred. High School diploma, GED or Associates Degreerequired accompanied with 5 years of related psychiatric experience. 

Experience: 1-2 years experience working within the mental health field.
