POSITION SUMMARY

To assist the perioperative nursing/surgical teams in meeting the needs of all customers by performing a variety of tasks and/or services including maintaining facilities, providing support functions, and assisting with basic patient care functions while continuously performing in a professional manner.

Qualifications

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in preparing operating rooms with necessary equipment individual to each procedure
  • Stage operating room set up appropriately by collaborating with specialty coordinators and operating room staff
  • Lead room turnover process
  • Transportation of patients, critical specimens, and labs
  • Provide support per operational need of the surgery department

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Qualification:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Two years of experience as a Nursing Assistant in the operating room preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Skills:

  • Able to speak and write English Fluently
  • Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments preferred.
