Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health is a residential treatment facility, located in Summerville, South Carolina. We treat children and adolescents, ages 7 to 18, who require a highly structured and supervised therapeutic environment. Residents attend programming separately, and are assigned to a group based on functioning level and treatment needs.

The Mental Health Tech provides direct patient care to patients with psychiatric disorders, addictive disease disorders or related substance abuse or chemical dependency problems or those dually diagnosed with psychiatric and chemically dependency disorders; to ensure the safety and well-being of these patients; to support the maintenance of therapeutic milieu.

• High School Diploma 
• Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 7 or prior experience with youth in a professional environment preferred.
• Well-developed problem solving techniques. Strong display of communication competency. Core ability to provide Service Excellence Skill in verbal de-escalation techniques. Ability to multi-task in crisis.
