POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities, affiliates, and other institutions that have UHS relationships either owned or contractual. Ensures that all patients receive the safest and best possible experience while at the facilities serviced by the UHS HTM Program. Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and all persons who are contacted during the course of their service. Delivers service that meets and exceeds all applicable regulatory requirements and compliance. Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Executes and meets all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI’s).

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience with healthcare technology management programs.

2. Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc…)

3. May require ACI Certification (CBET, CRES, CLES or CHTM).

4. May require skill set of advanced modality HTM expertise such as clinical laboratory, medical imaging, radiation/oncology, real-time location systems, alarm management middleware or high-end biomedical devices such as device integration/networking, and catheterization lab/electrophysiology monitoring systems.

5. Understanding of regulatory requirements for medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC,State, Local)

6. Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products

7. Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

8. Travel will be required periodically

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
Associates Degree or 2 year Technical Degree
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Professional/Technical Certification Preferred
Related experience entry level
