UHS is Hiring a Lead Mental Health Associate Near PEMBROKE, MA

Responsibilities

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. The Lead Mental Health Associate plays a key role in Pembroke Hospital fulfilling its primary mission of providing quality health care within the community. This is a full time position. This position requires every other weekend and every other holiday. This Lead MHA position is for the day shift Lead role on East 2.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and staff education to MHA personnel
  • Performs all MHA duties and maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu
  • Assists with development and implementation of unit-based initiatives
  • Conducts analysis of quality improvement indicators/outcomes and recommends changes for improvement
  • Acts as a role model for other staff by providing assistance and guidance as needed/requested
  • Conducts classes as a certified traininer on rotation basis with other Lead MHAs

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field is preferred
  • Two years’ inpatient behavioral health experience as MHA or similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and manage crisis interventions
