Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of the Laboratory this position is responsible for the supervision of the Laboratory operations on assigned shifts. This includes employee scheduling, orientation and training, and competency and performance assessments. Also performs routine procedures involved in the testing and reporting of patient samples. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of C orona Regional Medical C enter. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support C orona Regional Medical C enter strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred.

Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required.
Five (5) years experience in hospital laboratory and two (2) years experience in a field of specialty.

Knowledge of all areas in the laboratory demonstrated through interview process.
Knowledge of laboratory computer system preferred. Able to successfully complete a test for color blindness.

Minimum 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
