UHS is Hiring a HOUSE SUPV (RN) Near RENO, NV

Responsibilities

Willow Springs Center has an opening for a House Supervisor (RN).

The purpose of the House Supervisor is to provide oversight and direction to nurses and to work in collaboration with Social Services and Special Services to develop and deliver effective programming on the unit in support of a therapeutic milieu.

The House Supervisor is the champion of trauma informed care and ensures that nurses and Mental Health Technicians utilize appropriate de-escalation techniques to maintain a milieu that is therapeutic and not re-traumatizing. Without a clear philosophy regarding restraint and seclusion modeled for nurses, treatment efforts are underdeveloped and progress for patients falter.

Nurses at Willow Springs Center develop nursing care plans by assessing patient’s psychological and physical condition and create plans for treatment, services and health education based on the present and predicted needs of the patient. Our nurses participate in multi-disciplinary treatment teams and collaborate with professional and para-professional staff to ensure optimum care for our special patients.

Nurses administer medications as prescribed by a physician or designee and ensure correct time, dosage and appropriate route of administration while monitoring patients for medication side effects and/or allergic reaction. They observe patients to determine if medication is effective for prescribed treatment and appropriately documents findings. Our nurses do what is necessary to maintain the safety, health and well-being of the children we serve in the therapeutic environment and make crucial decisions to restrain patients who are a threat to themselves or others and may be hostile and combative.

Benefits for our Registered Nurse (RN) include:• Tuition Reimbursement Assistance

• Career development opportunities across UHS and its 300 locations!

• Tuition savings to continue your nursing education with Chamberlain University• Diverse programming to expand your experience and energize your career• HealthStream online learning catalogue with plenty of free CEU courses• Competitive Compensation and Generous Paid Time Off
