We are currently looking for a qualified Director of Plant Operations to join our team of dedicated Behavioral Health professionals. The Plant Operations Director performs a variety of duties in and around the facility buildings, repairing, inspecting, maintaining equipment and machinery, carpentry and landscaping maintenance. Prioritizes work requested and coordinates with the Chief Financial Officer. Assigns all necessary duties to maintenance staff on the basis of the most qualified person to perform particular tasks. Hires outside vendors and/or contractors to perform necessary repairs or preventive maintenance needs. Ensures the facility is at all times in compliance with all licensing and regulatory agencies, covering both the condition of the environment and preventive maintenance scheduling and surveying. Functions as the hospital’s Safety Officer.

Education:  High school graduate or equivalency required. Trade vocation school training preferred.

Experience: Two (2) years supervisory responsibility of a like sized facility.

Skills:  CHFM certification a plus. Basic knowledge of HVAC equipment, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment. Good oral and written communication skills. Must have driving record that meets The Vines Hospital’s policy. Knowledge of DOT procedures for handling Hazardous Waste. Must be familiar with the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring.
