Responsibilities

The Center for Change is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to collaborate with the Center's multidisciplinary treatment team in providing nutrition counseling to inpatients and outpatients at the Center. We have a great dietary department with a wonderful team of dietitians led by Rebekah Cook, RD, whose life passion is working with women who suffer with eating disorders. You will work with an amazing interdisciplinary group of professionals, including doctors, therapists, nurses and other support staff. There is not a kinder, more healing environment around.

The Center's Philosophy:

The Center's philosophy on treating eating disorders focuses on providing patients with opportunities to explore and redevelop a healthy relationship with food, helping them eat intuitively according to hunger and fullness. Each patient at the Center receives weekly individual counseling sessions with a Registered Dietitian. Sessions go beyond teaching and include active intervention. Dietitians also teach weekly nutrition classes which focus on a variety of topics such as relearning the ability to sense hunger and fullness, making peace with food, enjoying the eating experience, body metabolism, food and exercise, relapse prevention, and more.

Responsibilities:

As a dietitian at Center for Change you will conduct nutritional assessments, monitor patients' daily nutritional status, design and adjust meal plans, and monitor the progress of each patient and report to therapist. You will also conduct weekly nutrition counseling to establish goals and challenges designed to help patients learn new skills and behaviors which will contribute to a healthy lifestyle. This will included helping the patient plan for discharge.

Salary: Dependent on experience

Qualifications
  • BS in Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian
  • Licensed in the State of Utah
  • Familiarity with concepts of intuitive eating preferred
  • Dietitians are required to transport patients using company vehicles. To qualify to drive company vehicles Dietitians must consent to a driving record check, and must:
    • be at least 21 years of age
    • have a valid driver license
    • have no more than 2 at-fault accidents in the past three (3) years
    • have no more than 3 moving violations during the past three (3) years
    • have no driving while intoxicated (DWI) or driving under the influence (DUI) convictions
