Valley Health Specialty Hospital is the first orthopedic surgery and inpatient rehabilitation facility in the Las Vegas area. The Valley Health Specialty Hospital is the first of its kind to offer both specialty orthopedics and inpatient rehab in one location.
Job Description: Responsible for the nutritional care, treatment, rehabilitation and education to patients based on patient assessments
of needs, conditions, impairments, disabilities and age. Duties include assessing nutritional status, developing care
plans, educating patients and families, calculating nutritional and actual intakes and preparing special diets.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or a closely related field approved by the American Dietetic
Association (ADA).
Experience: Completed a CADE-accredited supervised practice program at a healthcare facility, community
agency, or a foodservice corporation, or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies.
Typically, a practice program will run six to twelve months in length.
Technical Skills: Computer proficient
License/Certification: Valid registration as a Registered Dietician from the ADA. Current License by State of Nevada as
Dietitian. Specialty certification (CDE, CNSD, CSP, CDR) may be required for a specialty position.
Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service
appropriate to the age of the patient.
