UHS is Hiring a DATA QUALITY SPECIALIST I Near DENISON, TX

Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Texoma residents have come to depend on TMC to meet a spectrum of physical, mental and spiritual needs. TMC has responded with unique services to provide the kind of sophisticated, experienced care that was once available only in major metropolitan areas. We offer major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC's role as a regional specialty center.

Under the direction of the Director of Quality Management, this position is responsible to manages the Navex Policy Tech Program. Possess advance knowledge of database to ensure adherence to regulations and guidelines as well as the consistency and integrity of policy data. Lead deployment and coordination of organization-wide policy program as well as provide training, communication and coordination pertinent to all staff to improve knowledge. Manage process to implement, maintain and upgrade software, policy system and database. Document and resolve issues. Recommend improvements to policy development and/or other improvements. Provides strong clerical support involving multiple quantifiable elements for functions in Quality Management. Assist in abstracting information from various sources, including written and electronic. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data while transferring the data into quantifiable information. Coordinate the flow of information between Quality and Administration, the Board of Directors, Central Physician Services, Medical Staff and other departments/committees, both internally and externally.

Qualifications

 Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in secretarial science / business / information systems / related field or a combination of at least five (5) years of professional clerical experience involving database administration, project management and administrative support of leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain databases and coordinate the implementation of new processes; Experience supporting leadership and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Course completion of MS Office including Access and Excel.
  • Advanced administrative skills pertinent to the use of MS Office (applications).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal relationship building skills to facilitate professional interactions with all levels of hospital, corporate, vendor and community associates.
  • Ability to share knowledge, build trust and train others.
  • Strong initiative and independent problem solving capabilities
