The Cook is a key member of the Northstar Behavioral Health Team who is responsible for responsible for participating in the provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff and guests including other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares meals for patients, employees, medical staff, and visitors.

• Takes and records meal temperatures at meal time.

• Serves meals to all cafeteria customers, ensuring food is placed on the serving line on time and condiments needed for that meal are set out.

• Accepts and reconciles deliveries and puts away stock; promptly receives deliveries when notified of their arrival, checking product sending back anything not acceptable.

• Cleans work area as necessary or assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

High School Diploma. Previous cooking experience required.

• Must be older than 21 years of age
