TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. Position Summary: Prepares hot, cold and baked food items for patients, cafeteria and guests, to include modified diets. Prepares, sets up and serves catered functions as assigned. Assists in overall department cleaning, sanitation and safety. Develops and repares food per department guidelines. Must perform a number of activities on a computer to retreive dietary information about the patients. Must be able to print out menus and modify them appropriately using a cardex and other information about the patents' diets.
QualificationsMust be able to read and compute basic math. Must be able to follow basic directions without constant supervision. Can operate and clean large pieces of food service equipment. At least six months experience in quantity food preparation in a hospital setting perferred. Food Handler's permit must be obtained upon hire.
