Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic PRN/Per Diem Admissions/Intake Registered Nurse. (OUTPATIENT SERVICES PHP/IOP ADOLESCENTS/ADULTS)

The Admissions/Intake RN, under the supervision of the PHP/IOP Department Director, provides telephonic and in-person risk assessments to assist the physician in identification of appropriate level of care for potential patients. The Admissions/Intake RN is in contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, as well as intake and unit staff. The Admissions/Intake RN works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data and verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
• Experience: 2-3 years in psychiatric treatment programs and/or substance abuse, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification, Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation training prior to orientation or during orientation week.
