    Qualifications

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Supervise, plan, coordinate, and organize day-to-day activities that will enhance effectiveness of the Admissions Department. Coordinate referrals and ensure smooth admissions processing for referral sources, families, staff and patients.

    Education/Training:

    • Masters Degree in a Behavioral Health Field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.) or BSN/RN.

    Experience:

    A minimum of 5 years clinical experience required, 2 years in a management capacity; experience in psychiatric evaluation, triage, and crisis stabilization; experience in fiscal management; experience in clinical supervision; experience in program development.

    Licensure/Certification:

    • Current North Carolina Driver’s License
    • North Carolina license eligible in Behavioral Health or RN license. Must obtain license within 90 days of employment.
    • Current CPR Certification; CPI Certification w/in 60-days of start.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Knowledge of applicable State and federal regulations and Joint Commision standards.
    • Knowledge of appropriate clinical assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
    • Knowledge of milieu management.
    • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families
    • Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation
    • Management skills which demonstrate the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
    • Public speaking, teaching and training skills.
    • Organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management and team building skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible and calm.
    • Computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
    • Skills in application of DSM methodology;
