Principal Trainer I, UHS Phelps Hall United Health Services is seeking a Principal Trainer I to join our Epic Training department at UHS Phelps Hall in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift Day Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $28.93 - $44.57 per hour, depending on experience. Overview The Epic Principal Trainer (PT) is responsible for developing and maintaining course curriculum and supporting training materials. The PT’s work closely with application analysts to ensure training materials and associated tools are in sync with the specific application and training environment. The PT will facilitate and lead training throughout the organization to ensure end users can effectively and efficiently use the system. The PT will partner with department managers, credentialed trainers, and super users to transition new hires/transfers to the appropriate 2nd level workflow training and support program. Qualifications Education/Experience Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education or related healthcare field is required. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, three to five (3-5) years in a training role, preferably in health care. Must be able to write and edit curriculum for all roles that require training and create job aids and other training materials. Strong organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines and attend numerous meetings. Must be able to lead classroom training and be able to present the material clearly and with confidence. Must be able to lead the credentialing process for identified staff. Self-motivated with the ability to learn new concepts and job requirements quickly as well as handle frequent change. Preferred: Minimum of two to four (2-4) years Epic experience preferred. Experience in adult education/training in the healthcare industry or related field strongly preferred. License/Certification Minimum Required: Current Epic certification(s) or Must be willing to travel for training and achieve certification within 90 days of completion of training at Epic in application as assigned.
