PACU Staff Nurse, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a PACU Staff Nurse to join our department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift Day Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience. The PACU is a very fast-paced and collaborative environment working with a wide variety of patient. Qualifications Schedule: 8 hour shifts; weekends and holidays are on call Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Monitoring patients post anesthesia (drips, blood pressure, airways) Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed Assessing and managing pain levels Educating and advocating for patients Qualifications: A valid RN license Previous PACU, ICU, or Telemetry experience preferred ACLS preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team Education/Experience Minimum Required: A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting License/Certification Minimum Required: Current NYS RN License Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
