Job Summary (Purpose):

Responsible for the day to day management of information delivery through Business Intelligence solutions including, but not limited to, the SAP Business Warehouse and QLIK environments. Responsibilities include managing system content, accuracy, and timeliness, managing and adhering to change management practices, and providing outstanding production support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day to day delivery and support of enterprise information through SAP BW and Qlik
  • Manage application change activities including accountability for change scheduling, change approval, implementation, and risk assessment working within the IT Change Management guidelines.
  • Continuous monitoring and improvement of nightly job streams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage the support ticket process, including review of resolutions.
  • Communicating with business groups and/or IT groups on outages or other system events.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, yearly schedules, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Manage run team personnel.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage the overall work load in response to changing priorities and emergency requests, while continuously managing customer expectations.
  • Manage requests for information.
  • Mentor and train employees on production support activities. 
  • Maintain documentation for operations activities in an organized system.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in managing large amounts of data and processes at an enterprise level. 
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and evaluate complex business reporting requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead in a cross-functional, matrix team environment and integrate activities with other teams within IT to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Knowledge of a variety of data sources (SQL, SAP, XML, Oracle, flat files, spreadsheets, non-SQL data, cloud sources like Azure, etc.)
  • Ability to work and manage a variety of tasks and work within an environment with competing priorities. 
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Project management, including task identification, management and follow-up.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related discipline. 
  • 3-5 years of management experience in business intelligence/analytics systems.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in both SAP BW HANA and QlikView, but three years of experience in one is required.
  • Working successfully in a high customer contact role.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal service suppliers in providing consistent and quality deliverables, and in achieving continuous deliverable improvements.
