POSITION TITLE: Temporary Maintenance Support

DIRECT REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Shift Management

MAJOR FUNCTION:

This position is to provide support for successful completion of contracted projects via subcontractors UG2 for and around Stanford Campus.

Support Turn Duties:

• Conduct a full room inspection using an electronic form.
• Conduct quality control of rooms provides proper documentation.
• Conduct basic maintenance of minor issues: replace light bulbs, battery replacements, mark water damage, mark paint damage, replace filters, replace smoke detectors, replace knobs.
• Vacuum
• Programming door security units with a handheld programing device.
• Replace shelf pegs and bumpers for cabinets.
• Tighten knobs/pulls.
• Inspect Ethernet Cables
• Adjust toilet seats.
• Removal of items left behind.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions, asking questions as needed for clarification of projects/tasks/duties/assignments.

Mail/ Logistic:

• Ability to be proficient with computer functions and logic.
• Conduct inventory audits.
• Receive and process mail and packages received via carriers FED EX, USPS, UPS, etc.
• Transfer and deliver mail and packages to designated locations around campus.
• Operate the vehicles safely for campus-related work and meet all insurance-related requirements.
• Perform work order request.
• Ability to read and conduct set-up and breakdowns of floor plans for event set-ups and breakdowns.
• Ability to maneuver and use a pallet jack and an electric pallet jack.
• Help clients move furniture/items from one location to another.
• Ensure that no items are damaged during the moves.
• Working outside and inside depends on the job scope.
• Familiarity with box trucks ( 10 ft).
• Experience moving laboratory equipment.
• Dumping items that are to be disposed of into the dump on site.
• Follow policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements (Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Education and/or Experience):

• Outstanding customer service skills
• English speaking bilingual preferred.
• Ability to adhere to customer rules & regulations.
• Be adept with screwdrivers and wrenches.
• Be adept at hand tools and have some knowledge of automatic hand tools.
• Use strong organizational and time management skills to complete work with accuracy and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to remain self-motivated and extremely detail oriented. It is important to be able to see and identify details that are abnormal or that seem out of place.
• Valid C driver's license.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements

• Must be able to climb a ladder.
• Be able to lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh a minimum of 40 lbs.
